The most disconcerting thing about Speed Dating is that you may find someone interesting in the first three minutes of meeting them. but it may not necessarily be who they really are. You could also meet a fe unfortunate good souls that easily fell through the proverbial trap of putting their not so "best foot" first. Being governed by a stopwatch doesn"t always help when intrigued by your 'Speed Date" One can never really tell much about the other person other than use key words & guage their reactions in body language as well as choice of words. This may give you a glimpse of insight into their life, & we may unfairly conclude that this qualifies us to judge them .
I find that i am almost always drawn to spirit within the person.. How does he/she handle a good or an unfortunate situation? When faced with a rainy day... do we say "Geez what a miserable day!" or..."Wow! what a great day to be indoors & enjoy a good movie or play a boardgame with the loved-ones !!" Meeting new people & taking your time by being honest is far more honourable than to go about haphazardly committing to a relationship that you form for frivolous reasons.
I have learnt in life in order to gain respect we have to give respect. To have a friend , we should be prepared to be a friend. To have someone to love You have to then go out there show Love to those you meet....THE BEGINNING OF LOVE STARTS WITH A SMILE......
