Walking with God 2011

I always believed in God but never took the time to get to know Him. Therefor i my life remained empty and i could not understand why. Like so many i felt that God has failed me. End of 2010 i decided to get to know this God of ours. I also wanted to experience what others would talk about and also wanted changes within my life that i saw in others. So 2011 with me, God,Jesus and the Holy Spirit started. I had to get to know them individually to understand. A lot has happened to me this year even up to this point that should have driven me away from God. But i have come to understand that Jesus never promised to take our probs away but He promised to walk with us, to face life with us so we don't have to do it alone. With God, we don't have to understand anything, we only have to believe that He can and that He will cos He wants to for us. Know why Jesus died? He died for us, so we could become friends with God and experience Him the way i have this past way. Jesus is not an access to material things but an access to eternal life.Jesus is also not an escape from life but a journey through life.
My experience:
1)With me it should be about God cos with God it's about me.
2)When i call upon His name, things happen.
3)God does answer prayers.
4)God is greater than anything.
5)We don't have to look far to see God. Look into a mirror, look @ our children, look outside @ the tree, flowers, mountains and you will see God as he has created all.

My story

A year ago, i knew very little about Social Media. At church i was told about classes being offered and i thought..here's my chance to empower myself. @ that time i was not even clued up "facebook". I use to make use of sms's and please call me's lol. Six months later i can do the following...I'm on facebook, twitter, youtube, flickr, linkedin, skype and forsquare. I have done a few blog posts as well. What this means to me... i can relate to internet talks and not avoid such discussions. It has boosted my confidence in a big way. I want to thank God raising me up and also want to thank RLabs academy for the work they do. RLabs academy is a non profitable organisation that empowers people like me that was born before technology.

I had a very kind of good day. In spite of having so much things happening in my life,  God is good and He is doing a great work in my life. Hi i had a normal busy day.Going to SARS today i spent about 3hrs there to have my forms sorted out.The place was fully packed and extremely slow.There was not enough tellers to assist the people.People were getting
frustrated because of lack of staff.However i could at least leave by 13 00. On taking a taxi home i walked from
Heideveld to Greenhaven, that was practically my day !

Spring Has Sprung

This weather is killing me it puts me in the lazy buss.Just want to sit in bed and drink coffee and watch TV hole day wont mind that but have to get up and cook food for hubby and kids.Think I'm going to feel a 10 after the class tonight and definitely feeling a 6.Wont rate myself to high.So enough tweeting for now back to work.

very interesting class on a Tuesday evening with the Digital And New Media class. The class really inspire me because they never give up they try and try until they get something right. Not only do they learn from us but we also learn from them. So every Tuesday evening i can't wait to hear how their week was and what new things are happening in their lives.

About my week

Hi its Jamy. This week was the best.We finally started practicing for our concert (that's in 5days time).I am getting some of the moves (that's not on our level)I'm getting there as fast as i can. I thought Beyonce was EASY but not. In the mean time I'm having so much FUN. 

This was definitely a new experience for me, 'Thinking out of the Box', facilitated by Rene Parker. I am really thinking differently and seems like something shifted for me in terms of the way I think.

What stood out for me in this session was the fact that its important to record your ideas by writing it down in a book so you wont forget it. Another point that I thought about was to spend quality time with myself even if its just a few minutes just to get the ideas flowing.

I have spent a few nights getting up and recording ideas that came to my mind just so that I wont forget them.

Bridgetown a dumping area?

Just heard a powerful story this morning of how beautiful one of the streets in Bridgetown is. There is so many trees in the road and it really looks like the neighbours looking very nicely after the road and that they all work together to make their road look attractive. Than  I came upon this road also in Bridgetown and not too far away from this beautiful street with all the trees and I saw this, a dumping place where people of the community just seem to dump their old things.

A huge No Dumping sign right next to the road asking the community not to dump on this site. This picture was taken when we as a class in Rlabs took a walk in the community, took some pictures and made some interviews with people from the community. It was a very exciting experience being out with the ladies and taking pictures of them interacting the people from the communities.

i was a bit nervous,but came through with flying colours.Number 1;my brother put me on the spot and i just went through with it.learned that we can use different things for any kind of purpose not necessarilly for the things that we see it for.like the rubber band that we said we can use for support for the cars exhaust.

There are 9 Ways to Think Out of the Box:

Thinking out of the box really makes me think what i am thinking about 'kind of really inspiring'.

Thinking out of the Box

So this evening we were encouraged to think out of the box. Never really thought that i was capable of doing that. We were given bags with goodies and had to find more than one way of using an item.eg. a peg.. we needed to find two other ways of using a peg other than using it to hang washing.Our group thought a peg can be used to seal packets also to keep notes together. Sounds simple but for me it was good as i was part of a great innovation and that is a boost for my confidence. Once again a great thumbs up for RLabs.

for the first time.It made me feel good about myself. Thank you for the Rlabs team.

The seminar that I attended was so exciting because I had fun using my ideas alongside with
other people.This thoughts I always had but I was not sure about it.This gave me a chance to
learn how an idea can never be a waste even a mistake can result into a good opportunity to
make a success of something.We had a giggle at some peoples ideas but you never know what that idea can develop into.If I lay awake at night I always think of something but when I wake up I always forget so I learned to always write down you're idea.

Good evening everybody I trust that you all are well. I would like to tell you guys about the class we had 9 ways.

1. Box is your mind.

Here are some ideas.

A plastic bag, fire-lighter.

Some years ago.i accepted the Lord in my life when things was not wright for me..meaning..i accepted him for the wrong reasons. God was merely there to fix things in my life. Things still, years later didn't go my way, but guess what? God remained in my life as He has promised to never leave nor forsake me. Beginning of 2011 God became real to me. Real in the sense that i have come to know God in the true sense. I first needed to understand that God is not to be used and that i was wrong to want to use God. All of a sudden things started to change and life turned out to be beautiful. I wake up in the morning with Jesus on my mind and go to bed with Jesus as my last thought. God is introducing me to people who add meaning to my life, taking me to places iv'e never been to before. Aaaawh, he's just blessing me in soooo many ways. Serving God is real awesome.

The Class of 2011

The class is a mix breed of old and young who brings different experiences to the space we find ourselves in. Quiet taxing at times to keep up with the younger folks. The knowledge that our tutors are parting with in class are awesome. Tonight I would like to share with my classmates the following:

There is a free tool on the Internet called www.Roboform.com. This piece of software enables one to capture 10 Passwords forever, while you may forget same. In other words you don't need to remember your Passwords again or anymore. The system will remember it on your behalf when you enter an email address or your Website URL. There is a paid version of Roboform with more benefits but for now the free version will be suffice for our needs. I suggest that our tutors should check it out and present it in plain non-techie jargon to the class on another occasion. Enjoy the freebie.

hi im kishwar when i started at RLabs i thought to myself why are they teaching me all about face book and sending emails damn i know these things but as classes went by i actually learned alot more than what i thought i knew i am really glad that i joined this class the lectures is very patient and understanding. Good evening everybody I'm at RLABS now learning how to blog and how to add images.I rate this class 10 because its really fantastic learning something new.. Our facilitators are Kyle and Gary and some others too.

It is totally confusing though but once you get the hang of it you will feel like a New Dork!LOL.Was nice to be in this class because we were blessed with new challenges.
